Born 1985 in New Orleans, Louisiana Josh Farria was displaced in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina and relocated to Northern California. It was in San Francisco 2010, that Farria was first inspired to pick up a camera.
Using disposables Josh started documenting the disorderly streets of SF's Tenderloin district. As Farria's work matured it expanded to include portrait and fashion. Unified by themes of community, expressed and observed, constructed and natural; his work is filled with a wide range of personalities. Farria taps into the intimate and innocent. It's this connection that gives his photos their allure and his unique perspective that gives them depth.
Josh is located in the SF Bay Area and is available for assignments.
